Introduction of “Wish Upon A Wedding”

Background:
Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first nonprofit wish granting organization, providing weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation, at destinations across the United States.

Audience:
Potential wish recipients, wish granters and donors within a 125-mile radius of the St. Louis area.

Objectives:
-Introduce the concept of Wish Upon a Wedding to the St. Louis area to generate interest, awareness and support
-Make potential wish recipients aware of the resources available to them
-Establish Wish Upon a Wedding as the wedding industries preeminent non-profit organization

Responsibilities:
Schumacher Creative created a comprehensive, 12-month introductory public relations plan for the organization.

Results:
Throughout 2010, Schumacher Creative has generated more than 4 million impressions for the organization with a total media value of more than $180,000. The story of Wish Upon a Wedding St. Louis appeared in a wealth of local, regional and national news outlets including: CNN, Headline News, C3 Magazine, St. Louis Bride, Alive Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, KSDK, and KTVI.
